Comedian Khai Morgan, was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and raised in Northwest Washington, DC. His stage name honors his late sons, Khai and Morgan, transforming profound loss into a legacy of laughter.
After enduring devastating personal tragedies, including the loss of three children, Khai embraced his calling as a “Minister of Laughter.” For nearly two decades, he has performed across the U.S., the Bahamas, and London’s Royal Air Force bases, bringing joy to audiences while staying true to his Greensboro roots.
Beyond stand-up, Khai is a producer, mentor, and actor. He created and ran two successful comedy shows—First Fridays and Silly Saturdays—for five years, and helped introduce emerging talents like Ampston Hews, Lady Shamar, and his own son, Comedian Junie. His acting credits include Mayor of Kingstown, Tyler Perry’s Ruthless, The Deliverance, Lady in the Lake, and Rustin.
A devoted father, Khai travels biweekly between Maryland and North Carolina for 16 years to stay present in his children’s lives. In 2020, he launched the podcast Gooooooooood Morning with his infant son Jaxon as his “co-host.” After losing Jaxon in 2023, Khai continues honoring his memory through his work.
His signature message resonates at every show: “Laugh to forget, but don’t forget to laugh.”
